Where are you based?

Jamie splits his time working time between home in Claverham, near Bristol (google maps link) and the office in Weston-Super-Mare (google maps link).

Do I have to pay for the first meeting?

No, this is at our cost. This meeting is all about working out whether we're a good fit; can we help you and do you like and trust us to do a good job for you.

Are you Independent?

Yes, we strongly believe that this is the best option for our clients.

To be clear, we have no commercial tie-in to any providers, be it investment managers or product providers. Our fees are paid by our clients, no-one else, meaning no conflict of interest.

Whatever we believe the is the most suitable solution for you is what we'll recommend.

What are your Fees?

You can find these under the 'services and fees' section of the website here

We understand that it can be a little daunting getting in touch with a financial planner, particularly if you've never had financial planning help before.

Here are some common things we get asked, which you might want to know. Hopefully these ease any concerns you have and show we're transparent and forthcoming with useful information.

Where are meetings held?

We can meet at the office in Weston-Super-Mare (which has plenty of parking), at your home or office, or by Zoom, whichever suits you best

What do I bring to the first meeting?

If you have paperwork, that's fine and is likely to be useful. The most important thing for the first meeting is you bring yourself, ready to tell us your story and how we can help

Can you help with tax?

Although we have a working knowledge of UK tax law, we are not tax experts, and more so when it comes to tax legislation of other countries, so such people would need to take specialist advice relevant to their own jurisdiction before considering their options.

Are you Regulated?

Yes, we are part of the ValidPath network, which is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under Firm Reference Number 197107. You can find ValidPath on the FCA register here:

What does CFP mean?

CFP stands for Certified Financial Planner. It is one of the highest levels of technical qualification that can be achieved in Financial Planning in the UK. Research shows that clients of CFP Professional Advisers feel more confident they will achieve their goals and more likely to be satisfied with their adviser than non-CFP Advisers, as explained in this short infographic from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
